I have a very hard time focusing on the present. At any given moment my mind might have wandered off to a number of different times and places. It’s a troubling kind of time-travel. I am going to start practicing staying where I am. Please do let me know if you have any remedies.

For some time I thought I loved you out of weakness (In hindsight, I did. Very much so).
You’ve created something untameable in me that neither of us can stop. My love will barrel around time and the earth until it finds what it wants or destroys everything.

Memory #002
I pine for Summer afternoons with Chelsea at the wine bar: reds for me & whites for her, warm bread with oil & vinegar, and pouring our hearts out week after week under the golden light that filtered in the old windows.

Wonderful things today: finding my dad playing moonlight sonata on the baby grand he built, the magnolia tree starting to bloom, spying on giant birds through old binoculars, sushi, hand massages, making plans with Le Garçon (!), & seeing the mountain goats again next week.
